What landlords need to know about new Welsh housing laws

Landlords get ready for December 1“The biggest change to housing law in Wales for decades.” – Julie James (Welsh Gov Minister)

Welsh Government have announced that the long-awaited Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 will finally come into force on 1st December 2022.

The legislation introduces an array of changes to how landlords in Wales will have to operate, meaning only very few laws continue to be ‘shared’ with England.

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will go into greater detail on each of the Act’s headline changes, which include;
