Nathan’s Cardiff Half fundraiser for Ty Hafan gets £1,000 boost from CPS Homes and Rightmove

We’re incredibly proud of our Sales Director, Nathan Walker, who is taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise money for Tŷ Hafan - a cause that means a great deal to him and his family (find out more over on his donation page).

At CPS Homes, we wanted to do our bit to support him, by spreading the word as well as making our own donation.

What we didn’t expect was for one of our social media posts about Nathan’s challenge to lead to massive £500 donation...

Rightmove gets behind Nathan’s challenge

After seeing our post about Nathan’s fundraising, our newly appointed Rightmove Account Manager got in touch to say they wanted to support the cause, and Rightmove went on to make a £500 donation directly to Tŷ Hafan.

We were absolutely delighted, and decided to match their donation with our own £500 contribution!

So a simple social media post about Nathan’s training has helped turn into £1,000 of donations for Tŷ Hafan. It’s a lovely example of what can happen when people get behind a good cause, and we’re very grateful to Rightmove for their generosity.

Why Tŷ Hafan?

Tŷ Hafan provides vital support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families across Wales. Their work goes far beyond specialist care. They provide respite, emotional and practical support, helping families through incredibly difficult circumstances.

It’s a charity that does hugely important work here in Wales, so we’re pleased to be able to play a small part in supporting it.

For Nathan, there’s also a very personal reason behind the challenge. He’s taking on the Cardiff Half in memory of his late nephews, which makes every training run and every donation that little bit more meaningful.

There’s still plenty of training to go before race day, but Nathan is continuing to put the miles in and working towards his fundraising target. We know how much this challenge means to him, and we’re proud to be able to support him along the way.
