Your 8 point ‘to do’ list that’ll guarantee compliance with the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016

With the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 now in force, here’s your 8 point ‘to do’ list that, if followed, will guarantee your compliance with the new Act.

The first three items should already be ticked off, as they were due by 30th November 2022 and 28th February 2023 respectively. If you haven’t done the first two checklist items yet, your property is now legally deemed unfit for human habitation, with no rent payable according to Welsh Government’s model occupation contract.
