UK-based startup firm to revolutionise the student letting market

With that in mind, a new UK-based property startup company called University Cribs is set to transform the student lettings market thanks to string of investments which have pushed the company’s value up to £1.1 million.
What is University Cribs?
Founded by graduates of Cardiff University, University Cribs is the latest revolution in student letting and offers letting agents across the country an online media platform where agents can post and share their student rental properties with students seeking accommodation, be it houses, flats or even single rooms.
University Cribs is specifically aimed at the student market, and promises to streamline and simplify the process of searching for a student property; the portal will place all letting agents in one location and will also allow landlords direct access to their student market on one convenient site. What’s more, the new website will be packed with articles offering students advice, including guides to the local neighbourhood and local attractions.
Who is using University Cribs?
University Cribs has already received commitments from letting agents across Wales, along with some of the UK’s biggest Hall Operators, such as CRM Students and Homes for Students. University Cribs is expected to grow dramatically and become one of the largest and most useful student accommodation sites in the property market; more letting agents are expected to sign up as the site grows.
When is University Cribs available?
The new website received a soft-launch in August, and a full launch is expected in October across the Cardiff, Swansea, Oxford and Bristol areas. A nationwide launch is expected to take place across a number of UK cities in the weeks and months following the October launch.
The founders of University Cribs have revealed that the portal was designed and created to cater to the changing demands of students when searching for rental properties. Co-founder Jack Jenkins said that many students prefer to view possible rental properties online rather than in person, and University Cribs is fulfilling this demand. He also revealed that many letting agents are after a student marketer to help them increase the exposure of their student rental properties – a role that University Cribs fulfils completely.
