Globrix, a property agent portal for the UK has come up with some interesting statistics about the best student buy-to-lets available in the UK.

The research has found that “Cardiff is the pick of the UK’s student towns when it comes to rental yields, which currently stand at 6.98% in the Welsh city and compare well to a national average of 4.8%.” It is worth noting that London has been omitted from these results however.

Cardiff is way above the pack in terms of their percentage in average rental yield, with Southampton coming in second at only 5.25% however they do go on to point out that whilst renting property in student areas may not always boast the best yields, it does almost certainly guarantee you tenants during term time.
