HIPS Setback

‘Home Information Packs including Energy Performance Certificates will be implemented on a phased basis from 1 August’

The Government have postponed the date in which Home Information Packs become law to 1st August, and they will only be used for 4 or more bedroom properties to begin with, and smaller properties to be phased in at a later date.

Until the end of 2007, properties can be marketed as soon as a pack is commissioned, and as a temporary measure Energy Performance Certificates can be up to 1 year old when a property is put up for sale.
