2013 has been a very good year for CPS Homes. We've recently announced a 50% increase in lettings over the summer and also cemented our position as the biggest lettings agency in Cardiff. In addition we've announced a sponsorship deal with the Cardiff Blues and participated in numerous community events, such as the Marlborough Primary School’s summer fayre.
Our growth has been as a result of a number of factors, none more important than hard work and graft! The current property market is showing signs of growth, but it’s been in a constant flux over the last few years because of the economic downturn. Thankfully CPS Homes have navigated the storm and come out the other side stronger for it. We’ve needed a strong mental strategy and the ability to react to market changes in order to prosper, but our longevity in the property market can be accredited to a number of factors:
Ethics
The only way to survive in the property market is with a strong relationship with your tenants, buyers & sellers and landlords. Without them our business wouldn't exist. That’s why it’s important to treat all clients as humans. Treating your clients fairly and offering them excellent customer service means they are more likely to work with you again in the future. Repeat business is important for any lettings or estate agent and is an important source of business when new clients are hard to come by. Over the summer period we saw an increase in the number of tenants looking to renew their tenancies with us.
Flexibility in a changing property market
As we mentioned earlier, to survive in this business you need to be aware of new trends and react to them accordingly. The recent economic downturn has seen many people suffer financial difficulties. Many people have seen their income reduce and the banks are currently refraining from offering people mortgages, meaning people are turning to rented property. Technology
If the property market is moving fast, then technology is moving at lightspeed. Every year there are new technologies that lettings and estate agents can tap into. We've seen the growth of social media and of portable devices such as mobile phones and tablets. Both are important in attracting new clients and engaging with your audience. Technology also allows agents to automate their systems while developing new software that can make the letting process easier.
