Meet Chelsea, our dedicated Sales Progression Manager

Any estate agent can help sell a property, but is yours in it for the long haul?

Many estate agents will have their Sales Negotiators dealing with sales progression tasks alongside their existing responsibilities. At CPS Homes we recognise that it's in our clients' best interest to have a designated member of staff focused solely on supporting them through the sales process.

Our full-time Sales Progression Manager, Chelsea Cannon, provides our vendors and purchasers with an exceptionally high level of care and communication from the moment an offer has been accepted all the way through to completion. We sat down to hear more about her experience in the role and how our commitment to sales progression has had a strong, positive impact on so many property sales in Cardiff.

What are your duties as a Sales Progression Manager?

Armed with a full understanding of the ins and outs of your individual sale, I work to provide you with clarity and transparency right up until the day the keys change hands. I’ll be proactive in liaising with solicitors and mortgage lenders, chasing up searches, surveys and reports, whilst keeping all parties aware of required time-scales. It’s all about managing and meeting expectations, keeping you up to date at every stage and acting as a mediator if a problem arises.

Why is it so important to have one person dedicated to the role?

Unlike some sales teams where staff juggle sales progression tasks along with their own, I will never be unreachable due to being out on viewings and valuations or be preoccupied with generating new instructions. My entire role is focused on moving your sale along efficiently and that’s my area of expertise, so I’m always available to support you. I’m happy to pick up calls or emails outside of office hours when it’s needed too - that’s all part and parcel of my role.

I don’t think many other estate agents in the Cardiff area have a dedicated, full-time Sales Progression Manager, so it does help set us apart by including this in our service. You won’t get this type of support from an online agent either (and you can’t pop in for a nice cup of coffee with them and an in-person chat!).

Will a full time Sales Progression Manager help my sale progress more quickly?

If your agent doesn't have a Sales Progression Manager on board with the capacity to give you that really strong level of support, I feel there’s more chance for the process to drag on, leading to sales potentially falling through. If you want your journey to completion to be as streamlined as possible and to go through quickly with minimal stress, you’re going to really benefit from having me in your corner.

It’s never nice, but it’s commonplace for sales to encounter hiccups that we never never anticipated. What I do is make sure communication is as open and swift as possible, so we can get over those hurdles quickly and continue in the right direction.

What’s your favourite part of the role?

Getting messages from people who are elated to have completed on their sale. The feedback makes it all worth it especially when you’ve had a particularly demanding sale that required a great deal of resourcefulness, close attention and care.

Coming into work with the other members of the sales team every day is another highlight. We’re a close-knit bunch and on a challenging day it’s great that we can still see the sunny side and stay upbeat (“If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry!”) and know we’ve got each other’s backs. It’s a team effort with us, we pride ourselves on doing more, not just getting offers on your home but to deliver a first-class service all the way until completion.

Still need convincing? Here are few words from happy clients who gave Chelsea a special mention in their feedback on TrustPilot:

“Chelsea was exceptional in literally everything that she did, and moved mountains to make sure the purchase was as easy as it could have been.” – Tristan

“The sales progression support from CPS Homes was first class and head and shoulders above various "Internet Based Estate Agents" (we dealt with 2 throughout our journey). Chelsea in particular was crucial in keeping everyone in the chain aware of any developments with regular communication. After various hurdles this was integral to the eventual success of the chain.” - Ian

“While everyone in the office showed great professionalism and dealt with us promptly and courteously, we should mention Chelsea Cannon who oversees progression of sales, for going over and above to ensure things were getting done whenever there seemed to be an obstacle.” – Gareth

“Nathan, Angela and Chelsea were professional, friendly and nothing but a pleasure to deal with! Chelsea especially went above and beyond and we really can’t thank her enough for all her help throughout the sale process, she’s a star!" – Rhydian

“Solicitors took more time than anticipated in the selling and buying and Chelsea helped to get things through and sorted by the deadline. Excellent service”.  – Eurwyn
