FREE Bamboo Toothbrushes

Everyone loves a freebie – especially when it’s environmentally friendly!

Here at CPS Homes, we want to go the extra mile to help protect the environment; and that means helping the community protect it too. Using our Facebook page, we gave individuals the opportunity to claim a bamboo toothbrush, absolutely free! All they had to do was like and share the post – simple.

Why?

A national climate emergency has been declared by the UK Parliament and MP’s are calling for BIG changes to be made to reach net-zero carbon emissions before 2050. If every individual makes small lifestyle changes alongside this, we can all help to reduce negative long-term impacts.

Single use plastic has been identified as something we all need to drastically cut back on. Plastics are made from non-renewable sources such as crude oil, gas and coal which are hugely damaging to the environment. Once produced, they can take anywhere between 20 and 1,000 years to breakdown; causing havoc for the planet.

There are currently 7.53 billion people in the world - all of which will need to brush their teeth! If every person replaces their toothbrush every few months, there’s potential for there to be around 20 BILLION toothbrushes in Landfill every year – with many more ending up in the oceans.

Benefits:

Aside from being very aesthetically pleasing, Bamboo toothbrushes have huge advantages in that they are:

  1. ECO-FRIENDLY: They are entirely biodegradable!
  2. SUSTAINABLE: Bamboo is a renewable source, with some arguing that it’s the fastest growing plant on earth!
  3. ANTIMICROBIAL: This means that it’s hard for bacteria to grow on Bamboo – that’s why it’s also used to make chopping boards.  
  4. EASY TO TRANSPORT: They are compact and wireless… plus you don’t have to worry about keeping it charged up!
