Tenancy guide for landlords - Part 1: General information

Cardiff Living RoomAs one of Cardiff's largest letting and estate agents, we're constantly looking for ways to help our landlords and tenants. With that in mind, our team of lettings experts have been hard at work drafting a nine-part tenancy guide for landlords, and, in the first part, we'll be concentrating on the general contact information landlords need to know when renting out a property through us.

The standard opening hours for our three branches are 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 9:30am - 2pm on Saturdays, although we do tend to open all-day on Saturdays during busy periods.

Emergency numbers and call-outs

Outside of hours, tenants can call one of our emergency contractors if necessary. Their details can be found on our website or by calling one of our three branches.

However, we only class a job as an emergency if the tenants are in danger, or suffering harm, or there is damage to the property that will get progressively worse without immediate intervention. If it’s not necessary to attend immediately, contractors are often able to guide tenants on how to keep the problem at bay until the morning.

Emergency, out-of-hours call-outs can be expensive for landlords and are best avoided when not absolutely essential.

Our emergency contractors will always respond quickly and professionally.

If it becomes apparent that an emergency contractor was called out unnecessarily, the tenants may be charged for the out-of-hours call-out.

If you're a landlord looking to rent out your Cardiff property, contact our team today on 02090 668585, email enquiries@cpshomes.co.uk, or pop into our Cathays branch on Woodville Road.
