Positive News for Cardiff Bay Property Owners

Nathan Walker, Sales Director at CPS Homes in CardiffFollowing our recent update on the cladding situation at Prospect Place, property owners in another Cardiff Bay development, Victoria Wharf, received good news last week.

Taylor Wimpey announced it has reached an agreement to progress with remediation works at the development at no cost to leaseholders. This paves the way for owners to be able to remortgage or sell, which is something a lot of people have been seeking for a long while.

The homebuilder said it’s in the process of appointing a fire engineer and architect for the project, which they expect to do by the end of 2022. Should any additional investigations to clarify the scope of the work be required, these will be undertaken in early 2023. Following this, full designs will be drawn up and tenders undertaken to appoint a contractor to carry out the work.

They anticipate that work will begin in late summer 2023, with leaseholders not required to pay anything towards it.

In years gone by, the Victoria Wharf development has been exceptionally popular with buyers, and our Sales Team are looking forward to representing these much sought after apartments once again.
