Festive opening hours and weather precautions

Christmas tree snowflake decorationWith a drop in temperature expected and with many tenants going away for Christmas, we wanted to take the opportunity to remind you of a few things to consider over the Christmas period.

If you're away from the property, it's advisable to keep the heating on low and on a timer to ensure the property is heated for at least a few hours each day. With freezing temperatures possible, there is a risk of pipes freezing and causing damage in the property - which is costly and could be your responsibility - so it's really important to keep using the heating. In addition, condensation mould can easily build up if the property is cold, so using the heating will help avoid this too.

If you're leaving the property unattended for an extended period, please take your valuables with you or ensure they're not left on display through windows. Please also ensure all windows and doors are properly secure.
