Red Dragon Centre

The Red Dragon Centre, with its unusual design and central location is the host of many different entertainment venues.

Wales Millennium Centre

The Millennium Centre, the iconic image of the Bay, is also a spectacular building.

Its post modern design with the poetic and very Welsh prose scribed onto the face of the building further aids the feature in keeping its nationalism and Gaelic heritage, which could have easily been lost in its innovative and uncompromising structure.
When the Welsh Assembly building was opened in March 2006, it firmly established that Cardiff Bay was more than just a generic tourist resort.
The government chose the Bay to house the Welsh Assembly building Welsh Assembly because of its regeneration and its symbolism of a new and modern Wales.
On Lloyd George Avenue, Craft in the Bay can be found. This establishment sells high quality craft including ceramics, textiles, wood, jewelry, ironwork, woven baskets and glass from Makers Guild in Wales members.
On Mermaid Quay, amongst the bars and restaurants a plethora of small shops such as Castle Galleries and Austin Reed can be found as well as well as a Tesco's and Natwest bank.
Cardiff International Sports Village is a self-funding regeneration program and one of the requirements of the program is that the infrastructure and sports & leisure facilities are funded through the commercial elements.
Through the development of Morrisons, located close to Cardiff International Sports Village and Toys R US the necessary funding for further infrastructure has been obtained.
